Between distributions, staff members order and stock food once it is received. Many of the tasks requiring daily attention by employees include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Writing grants and thank you notes
-Giving educational presentations
-Planning and preparing for distribution days
-Attending meetings
-Scheduling appointments
-Receiving and sorting food donations
-Answering phone calls
-Recruiting volunteers
-Maintaining and upgrading this website and other online sites
-Cleaning and maintaining both facilities
-Pick ups for the Food Rescue Program Daily
-receiving/recording donations, stocking tables/freezers/coolers and helping clients
-Bagging/Delivering food for The Totes of Hope Program
-Organizing warehouses
-Paper/computer work --(graphs/charts/filing/marketing/bookkeeping/statistics)
-Preparing for Board Meetings and Food Drives
-Moving furniture/heavy lifting
The Office Manager does all of the necessary financial tasks
that are required by law, United Way, and grants.
